Uncover the past with
our professional, yet affordable range of metal detectors.
The hobby of metal detecting is now firmly established
in Britain, the USA, Australia and many European countries,
and is suitable for all ages, from the very young to the
very old. The hobby is actually quite healthy for the
body because it gets you out in the air and gives you
exercise through walking and digging. The many thousands
of metal detectorists (as they are known) who enjoy this
fascinating hobby reap benefits in a variety of ways;
the gain of knowledge about the past, the excitement and
pleasure one feels when handling objects which haven't
seen light for years and, of course, the coins and artefacts
recovered. Initially, a Victorian Penny or a button is
a great thrill to find, raising all sorts of questions
such as how the object got there and to whom it once belonged
etc. Nowadays, metal detectors are hi-tec electronic machines
with a variety of capabilities dependant on price. Prices
range from one hundred pounds to close on a 1000 pounds
for a top-of-the-range model. Here we present the most
popular range of detectors from C.Scope, which is one
of the leading European manufactures of high-quality
metal detecting equipment, and well known for producing
powerful and reliable metal detectors at an affordable
price. The three metal detectors shown here are ideal
for those who want to start the hobby with a metal detector
that doesn't cost too much, but is powerful enough
to find real artifacts and will not need to be upgraded
if interest in the hobby grows. CScope detectors are
designed for the unique soil conditions found in the UK.
CScope also have an excellent reputation for customer
care and are even able to supply spares for models that are
well over 25 years old!

CS2MXP Metal Detector from CSCOPE
CScope's top flight MOTION
machines just blow the competition away with their combination
of performance, ease of use, and low, low price. The mixture
of features - excellent iron rejection - rapid response
motion mode - precise signal with sharp cut-off - dual-channel
discrimination - perfect balance - low battery drain -
auto tuning - weather protection - is just about as perfect
as it is possible to achieve in a portable metal detector,
AND, because it's CScope design, backed by CScope experience,
made in Britain, you get all this for a very reasonable
price. If you're in a club, take a look at how many CS2MXP
machines are around and, more importantly, what sort of
finds they are making. That's the proof of what makes
the CS2MX THE ENTHUSIAST'S CHOICE.

Independent review of the CS5MXP: "On site,
which was a grass field of no known potential, but plenty
of signals of all types, I set the controls (of the CS5MX)
exactly as mentioned on Page 1 of the operating instructions.
Then it was go, and positive signals started almost immediately
- a nice silver thimble later dated circa 1663, at about
9 inches depth - not a bad start. The rest of the 2 hour
test run was profitable in terms of signals and about 85%
of those which sounded good were actually good targets".
SECOND TIME OUT "The next outing with the CS5MX was much
more of a test as it took place on a ploughed field with
steep ruts and peaks. Operating in power boost mode was
most important in order to amplify the weak signals. This
managed to turn up a handsome hammered halfpenny, the only
decent find of the day". CONCLUSION This is a class machine
and at four hundred pounds is good value for money. I found
it pretty hot on small silver items and generally very enjoyable
to use. Among the finds made during the field test were
two hammered coins, a medieval seal matrix and a fragment
of a Bronze Age spearhead. The latter item was sent to the
British Museum because it contained some organic material
which they intend to have carbon dated. |
